Goan Food

“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”

Ruth Reichl

The traditional Goan Thali is a unique blend of flavors that have been passed down through generations. It consists of an array of dishes, typically served on a thali set.

This includes fish curry, prawn curry, vegetable curry, dalithoy and rice. The thali set symbolises the abundance of the tropical land.

The curries are cooked in a variety of spices including cumin, coriander seeds and turmeric powder. The fish curry is usually made with coconut milk or tamarind to add an extra zing to the dish.

Prawns may be cooked in a dry gravy or with coconut milk and vegetables may be cooked in different ways like dry fry or with onions and tomatoes to make for an exquisite Indian delicacy.

This traditional Goan thali is sure to please your palate and leave you feeling full and satisfied!
